Cadence Creek offers a range of boarding services to fit everyones needs. We take pride in our relaxed and friendly environment which makes coming out to the barn a pleasure.
We are pleased to be able to offer the following boarding services:
Outdoor Board: $250/mth.
Horses are grouped together according to age, size, gender temperament and according to feeding requirements. The horses are placed in herds between 6-12 horses as best suited for each specific group. They are fed twice daily up to 25lbs/day of mixed hay (timothy, brome, alfalfa). Water, salt and shelter are available in all paddocks/pastures and routine checks are done at least three times daily.
Semi-Private: $300/mth.
Horses are in smaller pens with a maximum of 3 horses per pen. Horses are fed up to 25lbs of mixed hay per day ea. Concentrate feed or grain can be fed if the owner wishes to supply them. We will mix up to two items for you. If your horse requires more then two supplements you are more then welcome to pre-mix and supply us with labelled daily tupperwares/rubbermaids. Water, salt and shelter are available in all pens. Horses are checked at least three times daily.
Seniors (18 years and over): $325/mth.
Seniors are grouped together in a smaller pen or paddock. They are fed Senior feed(4lbs/feed) and alfalfa cubes(3lbs/feed) twice daily. They are fork fed hay twice daily up to 20lbs/day. All senior horses are required to be blanketed in the winter once temperatures drop below -5 Celsius with a medium/heavy weight blanket. If the blanket has a hood, that is generally best.
Free Choice hay is available in the Outdoor and Semi-Private Board options. The prices are $300/month and $350/mth respectively. The horses will be in a pen with other horses who are on the free choice feeding program.
We do board ponies, but unfortunately cannot accept foals or stallions.
Blankets We do not offer a blanketing service however in the case of special circumstance (ie. sudden change in weather, special request by owner who cannot make it) we will blanket / remove blanket with a 5$ surcharge/ occurance . Cadence Creek owners and Management reserve the right to remove a blanket if the horse is in distress.
Deworming $20/worming 4 times per year. We deworm our horses every 90 days on a rotational worming program as recommended by our veterinarian. All horses on Cadence Creek property are dewormed on the same day by the barn. For your convenience, the charge will be added to your bill when it happens.
Farrier We will bring in and hold your horse for the farrier for $10 if you cannot make it to the barn to do it yourself.
Veterinarian On a case per case basis, we can bring in and hold your horse for the Vet if you cannot make it. Depending on the time required, we will have a handling charge of a minimum of $25.
